Chateau Faugeres has a long history in St. Emilion dating back to 1619, when the vineyard was cultivated by Andre de Faugeres. Robert Parker Jr. included this Chateau among the top 24 Bordeaux wines, calling it "Legend of the Future". In 2009, a complete renovation of Chateau Faugeres was completed. The architecturally stunning, state-of-the-art winery, designed by Mario Botta, is one the most modern, Bordeaux wine-making facilities in the Right Bank.

This medium to full-bodied wine is perfectly balanced with velvety, extracted tannins and juicy acidity. Blueberry, plum, milk chocolate, fig, boysenberry, cassis, black cherry, oak, and nuances of spice, herbs, and earth slide across the lush palate.  There's a long and complex finish. Pairs well with lamb chops.
